Direct Tv
Direct TV Exclusive Sports Coverage

With the cost of cable rising each year, consumers are choosing to switch over to satellite TV. Better features, more channels and cheaper fees are the reason why satellite TV has been the consumer choice over cable for consecutive years now.
It used to be that satellite TV was only available in select areas, but it is now available across the U.S. In addition, monthly fees for satellite TV have dropped over the past few years – giving consumers more then enough reasons to make the switch.
There are three main satellite TV providers out there, Direct TV , Dish Network and Voom. By far, the leader in the industry is Direct TV. They offer the best features, the most channels, the most channels in HD and the best prices. They are also the largest and expanding their network to bring satellite TV to 16 million people in the near future.
Just in the last six months, DirectTV has launched two new satellites into orbit that will further improve their services. Their goal is to provide better service than what cable companies provide and for less cost.
Many traditional cable customers who have switched to satellite TV have found that their monthly bill decreased, while they are enjoying more features. No doubt, cable companies are scared of how many customers they are losing to the competition.
For the longest time, cable companies have held a monopoly of the market and increasing fees because of it. Consumers are frustrated at the rate of increase and want more choices, so they are leaving the old cable behind and opting for the freedom of satellite TV.
Satellite also offers more high definition programming. The Direct TV HD currently leads the competition with close to 100 channels and the capacity of serving up to 150 which leaves room for future growth. Dish Network is running a close second with the ability to provide 70 HD channels.
Take special events and sports packages for instance. Cable TV cannot even come close to the number of games or price as satellite TV. No cable company offers as many games or as many sports as the satellite providers.
For instance, with Direct TV you can order the NFL Sunday Ticket that shows over 200 games and has live on-screen league scores and player stats. Cox, Time Warner cable and Dish Network customers do not even have the chance to order NFL packages since it has been an exclusively broadcast on Direct TV for so many years.
In addition, Direct TV offers the most games for sports including the NBA, NHL, MLB, College Basketball, College Football, NASCAR, MLS and even European Football, Rugby and Cricket. No cable company comes close to those features and the best thing about satellite TV is that you have access to out of market programming that you wouldn’t be able to get with only cable access.
Satellite TV also offers Live Special Events and Pay Per View. Common events include the UFC, WWF RAW, Boxing, TNA, Rodeo Houston and more. Exclusively on Direct TV are programs customers will not find anywhere else – The Scorsese Selection, The Maltin Minute, Rock & a Hard Place , Project MyWorld and more.
It makes sense to explore the features of satellite TV – after all, you could be enjoying more features and for less than what you are paying for cable TV.
